NUTRITION MONTH CULMINATING ACTIVITY 2017

On July 28, 2017, The Junior Highschool students celebrated Nutrition Month Culminating Activity at ACT Bulacao Campus. We, the Junior Highschool students participated by joining activities like Zumba, Nutriwalk and etc.

The program was made to encourage students to be healthy and most importantly to raised certain awareness for the obese and malnurish people

Early in the morning, the first event that we started after the Flag Ceremony is the Nutriwalk. Each section represented their fruit or vegetable and wear their own visor. We walked around the campus until we were on stage and we represented our fruit wich is the Pineapple and we also performed our yell.

After the Nutriwalk was the Zumba. We exercised, participated, and does Zumba as well as the teachers. It was fun because the lead instructor, Sir Dan Repuela, picked dancers from my section. I was so happy and proud that both of my classmates, Hanna Joan Alusin and Aron Cazar,  were chosen as the Best Zumba Dancers.

We head on to our next competition. The representative of each section prepared theirselves to compete for the Nutri- Chef. I was also there because I'm in homemakers club and we were asked to help by Ms. Lyn

After the Nutri- Chef Competition, we went back to our classrooms and ate our lunch. Everyone brought foods and we had our Salo-salo. After, we rested. Everyone is excited for the Mr. and Ms. Healthy. Our representative was Katherine Espina and Vincent Valle. All of the candidates introduced theirselves and showed their beauty and confidence. After, they changed their outfit into formal attire.  While they were changing, Kelsey Caballero and Kim Carreon performed a song and the Jingle contest winner also performed.

The candidates walked back to stage wearing their formal attire. The chosen five stayed on the stage and was asked to answer a question and all five candidates did their best. As a result, the Grade 9 student, Thessalonica Angeline Mayol, won as Ms. Healthy and the Grade 10 student, Dom Ricardo, won as Mr. Healthy.

The program was held successfully and it was such a memorable activity.
