African music

African music is the musical way of life of the Africans, especially the indigenous ones. It is part social gatherings like festivals, ceremonies and etc. "It permeates African life and has a function, a role to play in society; songs are used for religious ceremonies and rituals, to teach and give guidance, to tell stories, to mark the stages of life and death and to provide political guidance or express discontent" The music of Africa is linked with dances, unique instruments, dramatization and gesture. It is a tradtion which is still alive until now, conquering the world.

I believe that the purpose of African music is to manifest its unique quality of music and to show beauty not just in their place but to the whole world. The music of Africa is rich in culture and it is filled with so much emotions. Africa is one of the country that went through a lot of experiences like poverty and hunger but their music gives so much joy and we are influenced by that. It represents resiliency. Through the use of instruments, beats and rythms, I believe that their music brings so much good vibes in all of us.
